Porterville Unified School District aims to educate elementary, middle and high school students to be college and career ready. A district-wide program of college and career awareness, exploration, mentoring and application is supported by K-12 administration, staff in collaboration with a community of professional partners who all want to make a difference in education.

Activities in the district-wide program effort include: “Day In The Life” career-themed videos which are directed and edited by high school students in multimedia academies at three high schools within Porterville Unified School District; an open access and equitable set of recruitment events such as multiple “Pathway Showcases” for middle school students and parents; 7th-12th Career and College Continuum; YES Program including afterschool monthly career-themed efforts at the elementary and middle school levels; the “Career Kids Campaign” by our Performing Arts high school students sending the career exploration message to lower grade students through performances; and the district-wide end-of-the-year Pathway Exhibition.
