About Linked Learning Rochester
With support from The Ford Foundation, ConnectEd began working in summer 2014 with the Rochester City Public Schools to assess the feasibility of using Linked Learning as an approach to transforming high schools in Rochester and significantly increasing readiness of Rochester's high school graduates to succeed in college and career, both objectives and not just one or the other. In the long run, successful implementation of Linked Learning in Rochester will depend on a district-wide, systemic approach to school improvement; however, this first phase of the work will concentrate on assessing needs and capacity in two to four high schools and developing a plan for implementing up to four comprehensive Linked Learning pathways beginning fall 2015. This strategy will provide the foundation for a more comprehensive and systemic implementation initiative over the next four to five years.
